I completed my first degree in Mathematics at Bristol University, following that up by a Masters in Fluid Mechanics also at Bristol University.
Subsequently I studied for a PhD in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, working at the BP Institute. During my PhD I studied various viscous fluid flows and flows through porous media, under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Woods.
After a short spell as a teaching fellow at St Andrews University I then joined the engineering department at the University of Dundee working with Prof. Ping Dong as a PDRA studying cohesive sediment transport.
